Counseling

The Transgender Center of the Rockies offers trauma-informed gender-affirming individual and group counseling for transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals focused on support for mental health and substance use challenges. Our clinicians represent a diverse approach to therapy with various training and backgrounds grounded in trauma-informed care and the shared experience of being queer ourselves. Clinicians work with clients to develop treatment plans to work toward their goals. Payment accepted includes Medicaid, and a sliding scale is offered.

PrEP Navigation

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP, is a daily medication drastically reducing the risk of contracting HIV. Approved for use by the CDC, PrEP is available with a prescription from a physician. The Transgender Center of the Rockies partners with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Vivent Health, and our sibling organization, Denver Element, to reach out to the LGBTQ+ communities in the Denver area to generate awareness of and navigation for PrEP. Contact Bee the Vibe Program Manager Zack J. (he/they) to be connected with PrEP navigation services, (720)-382-5900

TCR offers a one-on-one discussion on PrEP through Denver Element to help individuals decide whether it is a strategy that suits their sexual health life, as well as providing logistical assistance, connecting to care, and funding the cost of medication.

WPATH letters

Clinicians at the TCR can help with the World Professional Association of Transgender Health Standard of Care (WPATH-SOC) letters required by some doctors and medical professionals prior to starting hormone replacement therapy or undergoing gender affirming surgeries. This process looks different for each client, so please get in touch with the office for any questions. We will introduce a WPATH Workshop at TCR to answer your questions and address your concerns with the process. Stay tuned for more details.
